The equipment owned by the Merimbula Medical Centre is of the highest quality to ensure complete patient safety and excellent results. One IPL source referred to as “Prowave” is used for hair removal. It does this by causing hair follicles to absorb light heating and destroying the follicle. IPL is particularly useful for large areas of hair removal. For smaller areas, the same result is obtained by using laser light with a handpiece known as “Cool Glide”. Both of these methods are used for an excellent cosmetic result.
