Photodynamic therapy uses light energy to stimulate oxygen molecules within targeted cells causing the abnormal cell to die. The body then cleans up the abnormal cells. The light source can be laser, IPL or LED lights of specific wavelengths. Treatments include acne, psoriasis and some precancerous and cancerous lesions, pigmentation, capillaries and skin conditions.
